What It Does: The EGR Pressure Sensor monitors the pressure within the EGR system. The computer makes ignition timing and injector pulse width adjustments based on this information. This sensor is also used to monitor the EGR system operation for trouble code identification.
Failure Symptoms: Malfunction Indicator Light illumination, failed emissions test, engine surge, poor fuel mileage.
