The crossover hose creates a bridge between both heads to keep the high pressure oil evenly equalized at all times. You will usually notice smoother idle, especially in cold weather. You may also notice overall smoother operation, even at highway speeds.
Passenger side hose is a direct replacement for the factory hose. Driver side hose will be shorter and utilize a closer port in the head. (This will allow your crossover hose to have a straight shot between both heads)
