The KC Turbos Fusion Stage 1 High-Pressure Turbo 302241 can help enhance the horsepower and torque of your 2008-2010 Ford 6.4L Powerstroke. This is the turbo that makes the 6.4 Powerstroke compound turbo setup spool up so fast! The high-pressure turbo fundamentally spools up quickly and then feeds the low-pressure turbo to make monster boost and horsepower. This stage 1 high-pressure turbo is recommended for enthusiasts who want a boost in performance without increasing turbo lag and the ability to tow and spool great.
Bear in mind that if you are looking for a big bump in horsepower and torque, then that comes from the low-pressure turbo. This turbo generally adds a little power (25-50hp), but the low pressure can add a TON OF POWER (150-250hp). If you are only going to upgrade one of your turbos, KC Turbos recommends the low-pressure first, then add this Stage 1 HP turbo at the same time or later down the road.
Exhaust Brakes
KC Turbos gets asked a lot about exhaust brakes and if they work with their turbos. These will retain the factory feature if the vehicle's calibration allows and is set up for it. They have found that some brands have clearance and might cause the brake to hinder performance, rub the turbine wheel, or cause other problems. These brakes normally use some sort of flapper to close, which creates extreme exhaust back pressure to aid in braking. This can be hard on a turbocharger and the engine, and is not recommended.
